Commission Content Guidelines

GENERAL TERMS

  Artwork & Style  
✦ All artwork will include a watermark, which may not be removed.
✦ While I can work from inspiration or references, I will always draw in my own style.
  Pricing & Quotes  
✦ Prices may change based on demand or my health; however, any quotes already given will always be honoured.
  Right to Refuse  
✦ I reserve the right to decline any commission that I am not comfortable completing, for any reason.
  Posting & Public Use 
✦ I reserve the right to post commissioned artwork to my portfolio and social media unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. This includes sketches, WIPs, and timelapses.
  Client Conduct 
✦ Harassment or disrespectful behaviour will result in the commission being cancelled without a refund. In such cases, I may share my experience with other artists within my professional circle.
✦ Sending unsolicited explicit or intimate images of yourself is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

PAYMENT

  Accepted Currency & Methods 
✦ Accepted currencies are GBP, USD, and EUR, with GBP preferred.
✦ Payments are accepted via Ko-fi or PayPal.
✦Certain gift cards or alternative goods of equal value to the commission price may be accepted by prior agreement.
  Payment Timing  
✦ New clients must pay in full before work begins.
✦ Returning clients may be eligible for partial or staged payments.
✦ Late payments on agreed payment plans may result in the commission being paused.
  Payment Plans  
✦ Payment plans may be available for larger commissions over £100, depending on the project.
✦ Payment plan terms are discussed and agreed upon on a per-commission basis.
✦ Payment plans must be completed in full before the final artwork is delivered.
✦ Payment plans are non-refundable once work has begun.
  Invoices & Scams  
✦ Unless payment is made through Ko-fi, I will always issue an invoice. Please do not send payment unless it is in response to one of my invoices.
✦ All invoices will only come from [email protected]. Due to ongoing scams, please double-check the sender before paying.
  Invoice Deadlines  
✦ Invoices must be paid within 7 days unless otherwise agreed, or the commission slot position may be released.

PROCESS & DELIVERY

 Commission Tracking & Visibility  
✦ I keep a public Trello board listing all current commissions and their progress. If you’d like to check the status of your commission, please refer to the board first. If you need further clarification, you’re welcome to contact me via email or Discord.
✦ The public Trello board may display estimated completion dates. These are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed deadlines.
✦ Please note that my Trello board is publicly viewable. If you do not want your commission or its details to appear publicly, you must let me know before work begins so alternative arrangements can be made.
  Refund Eligibility  
✦ Once work has begun on your commission, you are no longer eligible for a full refund. Please refer to the Refunds & Cancellations section for full details.
  Approval Stages & Revisions  
✦ During the commission process (excluding PWYW pieces and sketches), I will request approval at the sketch stage and the flats/colour stage to ensure the piece is developing as you want it. Please feel free to request changes at these stages.
✦ The number of approval stages may increase depending on the complexity of the commission. In some cases, sketches may be partially or fully coloured to confirm colour choices. As I am partially colour-blind, it is the client’s responsibility to carefully check and approve all colours at this stage.
✦ Delays in client responses during approval stages will result in corresponding delays to the overall completion time.
✦ If no response is received after 7 days during an approval stage, work may be paused until communication resumes.
✦ All previews shown during approval stages are work-in-progress images and may not be shared publicly or privately without my explicit permission.
  Turnaround Time & Health  
✦ Turnaround time varies depending on commission complexity and my health. I have multiple health conditions and, on rare occasions, may need to take extended breaks. Any updates regarding delays or availability will always be communicated via Twitter and Trello.
✦ I do my best to complete all commissions in a timely manner. If you require a commission by a specific date (such as for a birthday or event), this must be discussed before I accept the commission.
  Final Files & Delivery  
✦ Upon completion, you will receive both a full-resolution file and a web-friendly version. Please only share the web version (labelled “post ver”); the full-resolution file is for personal use only.
✦ All commissions are delivered digitally. No physical product is included. However, depending on your location, I may be able to help arrange printing or badge production upon request.

REVISIONS

 Commission Tracking & Visibility  
✦ Revisions during the initial sketch stage are completely free. Once the pose has been confirmed, up to three additional revisions are included. Minor adjustments at this stage (such as small tweaks) do not count toward this limit and remain free.
✦ Requests for changes made after the lineart stage may have an additional fee, unless the change is required due to a misunderstanding on my part, in which case it will be corrected at no extra cost.
✦ Any changes requested to parts of the artwork that have already been approved will have an additional fee. The cost of these changes will depend on the scope of the request and is typically calculated based on an hourly rate.
✦ If no visual reference is provided and I must work solely from a written description, an additional fee will apply.

COPYRIGHT & USAGE POLICY

Under copyright law, I, Zeveth (the artist), retain full ownership of all commissioned artwork. Purchasing a commission does not transfer copyright to the buyer unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

 Artist Rights 
As the copyright holder, I reserve the right to use the commissioned artwork to:✦ Promote myself and my work in any capacity
✦ Display the artwork on my website, portfolio, and social media
✦ Post the artwork publicly wherever I choose
✦ Create and sell printed or digital products such as artbooks, prints, or similar materials

 Client Usage Rights 
The client is granted permission to:✦ Use the commissioned artwork for personal use, unless otherwise agreed upon
✦ Upload and share the artwork on social media, websites, forums, and similar platforms
✦ Print the artwork for personal use and claim ownership of the character(s), but not the artwork itself
✦ Use the artwork to promote themselves
✦ Use the artwork in monetised videos (such as YouTube content), provided the artwork itself is not the primary source of income
✦ Use the artwork as icons, profile pictures, banners, messenger stickers, and similar personal applicationsCredit is not required but is always greatly appreciated.

 Copyright Infringement 
The following actions are considered copyright infringement and are not permitted:✦ Using or reproducing the artwork for commercial purposes without prior agreement
✦ Claiming the artwork as your own
✦ Removing or obscuring my watermark
✦ Altering or editing the artwork without my consent
✦ Adding additional watermarks to the artwork without prior permission.

 Additional Rights 
I retain full rights to the artwork and its use and distribution unless otherwise agreed upon.
Rights for commercial or non-personal use may be discussed and purchased separately at any time.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

  General Refund Policy  
✦ Once I have begun work on a commission, the buyer is not eligible for a full refund.
✦ If, for any reason, I am unable to start your commission, you will receive a full refund.
✦ Refund amounts are determined by how much time and work has already gone into the commission.

 Refund Processing and Chargebacks  
✦ If a refund is approved, please do not request a chargeback. Refunds will be processed directly by me through the original payment method whenever possible.
✦ Requesting a chargeback when you are not eligible for a refund will result in the loss of all rights to the commissioned artwork. In such cases, I retain the full right to use, distribute, and profit from the artwork in any way I see fit.
✦ Clients who initiate unjustified chargebacks will be blacklisted from future commissions. In such cases, I reserve the right to share my experience with other artists within my professional circle, which may result in the client being declined by others as well.

  Client-Initiated Cancellations  
✦ If a commission is cancelled or a refund is requested due to reasons deemed to be the responsibility of the commissioner (such as overspending or poor financial planning), I may decline future commissions from that client.
✦ I understand that emergencies do happen and am happy to discuss refunds on a case-by-case basis in genuine emergency situations.Please consider carefully whether you can afford a commission before submitting payment.

 Policy Violations 
✦ If any of the above terms are violated, the buyer will forfeit all previously granted rights to the commissioned artwork. I, Zeveth (the artist), will retain full rights to use and profit from the artwork in any manner I choose.✦ If you have concerns about any part of this policy, there may be room for flexibility if discussed and agreed upon prior to payment.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

  Drafts / Mockups  
✦You will receive one or more drafts or mockups to choose from before I continue with the commission. The number of drafts provided may vary depending on the complexity of the piece.

 Sketch Approvals  
✦You will receive a sketch (or final sketch, depending on the commission type) that must be approved before I proceed with further work.

  Final Files  
✦Upon completion, you will receive a full-resolution version of the final artwork along with a web-friendly version suitable for online posting. Final file formats are typically PNG.

 Additional Files (Upon Request) 
✦Lineart files or PSD/CSP files can be provided upon request, where applicable.
✦Timelapses or private recordings may be requested as well.
✦Streams may be arranged but sometimes this may come with an additional charge.

Important information before commissioning

 Currency  
I am a UK-based artist so my local currency is GBP. However as USD is the most commonly used currency for online art commissions all prices on my website are listed in USD for convenience.If you are able and happy to pay directly in GBP, I offer a small discount where applicable. This helps reduce currency conversion and payment processing fees on my end.
GBP pricing will be confirmed with you before payment, so you’ll always know the exact amount beforehand. Waitlist and slots  
I normally take commissions in rounds and will begin opening my next round as my current queue starts getting close to finished. I open slots a little in advance because filling a round, discussing commission details and processing payments can usually take around 1–3 weeks. Opening early helps me keep a steady workflow without having a large gap between finishing one queue and beginning the next set of commissions.All commissions are worked on in the order they were accepted. If you still see work in my queue when I announce new slots, your place has not changed and newly accepted commissions will be added after the existing queue.
The only exception may be commissions needed for a specific date or event like a birthday.
